Automation track

RPA with UiPath

Learn to build software robots that take over the repetitive desk work a business runs on — then publish, schedule and monitor them the way an automation team actually does.

Who this is for

The fastest route into IT if you have never written code

RPA is the shortest bridge from a non-technical background to a technical job title, because the logic is visual before it is textual.

Fresh graduates, any stream

B.Com, B.Sc, B.A. or engineering — RPA does not care what your degree says. You need process thinking, not a computer science syllabus.

Back-office and operations staff

If you already do the manual work — reconciliations, data entry, report packs — you understand the processes better than most developers do.

Career switchers on a budget

At ₹15,000 over six weeks this is the lowest-commitment way to find out whether a technical career suits you before spending more.

Not the right track if…

You want to write application code for a living. RPA is configuration-and-logic work with a visual designer; if your goal is to build products from scratch, start with Python Full Stack instead.

Curriculum

Ten modules, each ending in a working robot

Nothing is signed off on attendance. Each module closes with an automation that runs.

  • What automation can and cannot replace, with real process examples
  • Identifying candidate processes: volume, rule clarity, exception rate
  • Building a process definition document before touching the tool
  • Attended vs unattended automation, and when each is appropriate
  • Studio layout, project types and the activity panel
  • Variables, arguments and scope — the part beginners usually get wrong
  • Sequences for linear work, flowcharts for branching, state machines for long-running bots
  • Debugging: breakpoints, step-through, the Locals panel
  • How selectors work, and why they break in production
  • UI Explorer, dynamic selectors, wildcards and anchors
  • Desktop application automation and Windows-level interaction
  • Image and OCR automation for Citrix and remote sessions
  • Reading and writing workbooks without opening Excel
  • DataTable filtering, joining, sorting and iteration
  • Building a reconciliation between two sources of truth
  • Handling malformed rows instead of crashing on them
  • Outlook, IMAP and SMTP activities
  • Triggering work from an inbox and saving attachments reliably
  • Sending formatted status and exception reports
  • Native text extraction versus OCR, and how to choose
  • Anchor-based extraction from invoices and statements
  • Validating extracted values before they enter a system of record
  • Business exceptions versus application exceptions
  • Try/catch structure, retry scopes and idempotent steps
  • Log levels and writing logs a support engineer can actually use
  • Screenshot-on-failure and diagnostic artefacts
  • Why enterprises standardise on the Robotic Enterprise Framework
  • Init, Get Transaction Data, Process, End Process states
  • Config workbook, settings, constants and credential assets
  • Converting a linear bot into a transaction-based one
  • Machines, robots and environments
  • Queues, queue items, deferred and postponed transactions
  • Assets and credential storage — never hardcode a password
  • Time and queue triggers, monitoring jobs, reading Orchestrator logs
  • Publishing packages and managing process versions
  • Attended robots with UiPath Assistant
  • Git basics for RPA projects: branching and reviewing changes
  • Handover documentation an operations team can run without you

Capstone builds

Two robots for your portfolio

Invoice-processing bot

Queue-driven and unattended. Reads invoice documents, validates against a master workbook, posts into a target application, and defers exceptions with a full audit trail.

Report-consolidation bot

Scheduled through an Orchestrator time trigger. Collects multiple source workbooks, reconciles them, produces a formatted summary and emails it to a distribution list.

Career outcomes

Roles this track is aimed at

These are the job titles the syllabus is built against. We do not publish salary figures or placement percentages we have not verified.

RPA Developer

Builds and maintains automations against documented business processes.

Automation Analyst

Identifies candidate processes and writes the definitions developers work from.

Bot Support Engineer

Monitors production robots, triages exceptions and keeps queues moving.
